Hours: 39 Hours per week- Day Shift, typically 7:30am to 4pm (Mon Thu), Friday 7:30am to 3pm. 30 mins daily unpaid break
Job OverviewThe Machining Technician CNC Milling is a key component of the Stroud Manufacturing Team, supporting the whole CNC Milling Section with hands on first line Programming and Engineering Support.
Key Responsibilities and DutiesLink with the Manufacturing Engineers and CNC Operators to provide a First Line Engineering Support
Supporting the Manufacturing Engineers to interpret and deliver on customer requirements
Write and modify CNC Programs
Provide a hands on NPI (New Product Introduction) service to the Organisation
Promote a safety-first culture
Supporting Continuous Improvement Activities around the company
Reporting Structure
The Machining Technician CNC Milling will report to the Engineering Manager and work alongside and support the wider production teams.
Person Specification - Essential
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience at a Technical Engineering / Programming level
Strong ability to problem solve
Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to use Microsoft Office software and comfortable with the use of computer-based manufacturing systems and reporting
Person Specification DesirableExperience with Fanuc Controls
Previous leadership experience at Team Leader Level or above
CNC Turning Experience
Direct Experience of HyperMill CAD/CAM
Experience of Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain controls
